Bitcoin Holds Near $75,700 Saturday, Set for a Fifth Weekly Loss
Bitcoin traded at about $75,749 Saturday evening, Nov. 7, 2026, per CoinDesk, on track for a fifth straight weekly decline after a rough week for risk assets.

Bitcoin traded at about $75,749 at 7:14 p.m. ET on Saturday, November 7, 2026, according to CoinDesk's price data. That leaves the largest cryptocurrency on track for a fifth straight weekly loss, a streak CoinCentral flagged on Saturday and CoinDesk had warned about since Tuesday.
Because bitcoin trades around the clock, the week does not end until Sunday night. A late rally could still change the final result for the week.

Friday's dip to $74,762 was bitcoin's lowest level since August 21, CoinCentral reported. The coin then recovered to around $76,000 by Friday evening.
What drove the selling
Tuesday's U.S. midterm elections added another layer of uncertainty to markets early in the week, CoinDesk said. Pressure built on Thursday, when the Nasdaq fell 5.5%, its worst session since April 2025, according to CoinDesk. More than $1.27 billion of leveraged crypto bets were wiped out in the 24 hours to Friday morning, most of them positions betting on higher prices, CoinDesk reported.
The October jobs report also came in stronger than expected, with 165,000 jobs added versus 65,000 forecast, and traders raised their odds that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates in December, CoinCentral reported. Higher rates tend to weigh on assets like bitcoin that pay no interest.
Investors also pulled money from U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs on both Thursday and Friday. Our story on Friday's $412 million in ETF outflows has the fund-by-fund numbers.
Separately, Treasury on Friday moved to cut crypto exchange MEXC Global off from the U.S. financial system. We cover that in our story on the MEXC order.
What to watch
Traders are focused on the Sunday weekly close. CoinCentral pointed to about $75,500 as a support level that market analysts are watching. Spot ETF flow data resumes when U.S. markets reopen on Monday, November 9.
