Editorial Policy

Last updated: November 4, 2026

Readers make decisions about their money based on what they read. These standards explain how we try to earn and keep their trust. They apply to everyone who writes or edits for Berawang News.

Accuracy and sources

Headlines

Headlines must reflect what the story actually says. We do not use headlines that promise returns, exaggerate risk or mislead readers to get clicks.

Review before publishing

Writers submit stories as drafts. An editor reviews each story for accuracy, sourcing, fairness and clarity before it is published. Guides and reviews show the name of the editor who reviewed them. Our editor, Arya, is responsible for what we publish.

Corrections

When we make a mistake, we fix it as quickly as we can and add a note at the end of the article explaining what was changed and when. We do not quietly change facts in published stories. Minor fixes to spelling or style that do not change meaning may be made without a note.

To report an error, email [email protected] with the article link and what you believe is wrong.

Use of AI tools

We may use AI tools to help with research, summarizing documents, drafting and checking grammar. A named person on our team edits, fact-checks and approves every article before it is published, and takes responsibility for it. We do not publish articles generated automatically without human review, and we do not rewrite other publications’ articles.

Independence from advertising

Personal investments and conflicts of interest

Not investment advice

We explain markets; we do not tell individual readers what to buy or sell. See our disclaimer.
