Bitcoin ETFs Lose $430 Million in a Day as BTC Holds Near $75,500
U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs saw $430.2 million of net outflows on Nov. 5, 2026, with no fund taking in money, as bitcoin slid to about $75,500.

Investors pulled $430.2 million out of U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds on Thursday, November 5, 2026, according to Farside Investors data cited by CryptoSlate and Coinpaper. Not one of the 12 funds took in new money that day, CryptoSlate said. Spot ether ETFs lost another $100 million, bringing combined crypto ETF outflows to about $530 million.
The withdrawals came on the same day a steep selloff in tech stocks spilled into crypto. Bitcoin fell 6.03% over 24 hours to $75,581.52, CryptoSlate reported in an article published at 4:55 a.m. ET on Friday, November 6. Ether dropped to about $2,237.

BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), the largest fund, lost $105 million on Thursday, both outlets reported. CryptoSlate said that was IBIT's fifth straight day of outflows, worth about $1.04 billion in total. On the ether side, BlackRock's ETHA had the largest withdrawal at about $75 million, CryptoSlate said.
Why it matters
Spot ETFs have become one of the main ways U.S. investors buy bitcoin through a regular brokerage account, so their daily flows are a useful read on big-money demand. Steady outflows mean funds are selling more bitcoin than they buy, which removes a source of support for the price.
Thursday's move lined up with Wall Street's rout. The Nasdaq Composite had its steepest one-day fall in 19 months, and Reuters reported on Friday that the tech selloff had wiped nearly $3 trillion off the value of S&P 500 companies. Our earlier story on bitcoin falling below $76,000 covers how the drop unfolded.
Keep in mind that one day of flows does not set a trend. Bitcoin ETFs took in money as recently as Wednesday, and crypto trades around the clock, so the price can move sharply before U.S. markets open.
