Wall Street had expected much less. The revenue consensus was about $891 million to $892 million, the two outlets said, and analysts had been looking for a loss per share. Investing.com said growth came mainly from stronger COVID-19 vaccine sales outside the U.S., helped by deliveries under long-term government agreements.
"We delivered 29% revenue growth in the third quarter," Chief Executive Stéphane Bancel said, as quoted by Investing.com and 24/7 Wall St.

Pipeline news

- Skin cancer: intismeran, a melanoma treatment, produced positive Phase 3 results, both outlets reported.
What it means for investors
A quarter of 29% growth and a swing to profit is a notable change from a year earlier.
